80's Party!

Adam's bday party was saturday night with a Lady Gaga inspired 80's theme. I can't pass up a themed party or an 80's themed party. Just a couple pics here the rest are on facebook. I'm serious in 30 of the 80-something pictures. That's what i get for staying after to help clean a bit. Its like a timeline of me getting more and more buzzed.

Auralee

So I've fallen into the world Pullip dolls. They're like the new, cute, japanese update of a blythe doll. I bought one on ebay, used, because i couldn't justify $100-something for a doll. Now that I own her I totally understand!

She started as Rei (from the anime Evangelion) i bought used on ebay. I've given her new more bendy body, wig, and face up. As she's gone through this process the name Auralee popped in my head and there you have it.

Before:

and After:

One more for uber cuteness overload

I like this new body better, one for the ridiculousness of squishy boobs and butt and two for the fact that she doesn't drown in barbie clothes now. I've order a bunch of cute clothes today (instead of doing homework) and i can't wait for them to get here!

(In the process of waiting for her to be delivered I also order a nib zuora doll, so pictures of her soon!)

And yes he was wearing leiderhoisen

Yesterday, in spite of the rain my dad and I drove up to Helen, GA. I've never been to Helen, but when I heard it was a themed tourist town I couldn't pass up the trip. Helen is up in the mountain of Georgia, which compared to New Mexico's mountains they are basically hills.

We got up there and it was pouring rain. We walked the main strip and *nothing* was open. Finally, we found one restaurant open. It was set in a square near the Christmas tree. As we walked inside we were greeted by a plumply round man in leiderhoisen and his wife. These weren't pansy cloth pants, but the real suede type.

I had the Hungarian Goulash and we got complementary potato leek soup. I figured that it would be a nice, quiet lunch, but since we were the only people in town, they sat and talked with us. That doesn't happen much anymore and though slightly annoying at the first moment, it was enjoyable. The owner gave me a present, which I found hilarious and will post hopefully tomorrow.

I didn't get a picture of the building b/c of the rain, but since it is one of the most photographed building in Helen I found a picture of the restaurant online.
